We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Heather Richards as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Atlas Healthcare Partners. After a comprehensive national search including over 40 candidates, Heather emerged as the best choice to lead our financial operations and drive our strategic goals forward.
In her role as CFO, Heather will be responsible for overseeing Atlas’ overall financial health and functionality. She will lead accounting, finance, treasury, analytics, accounts payable, payroll, revenue strategy and revenue cycle management (RCM), and managed care reimbursement. Heather’s extensive experience and deep understanding of the ASC business uniquely position her to excel in this role and contribute significantly to our growth and success.
Heather’s journey with Atlas began in October 2021, when she joined us as our RCM and managed care leader. At that time, our RCM service faced significant challenges. Under Heather’s leadership, the service transformed into a high-performing, profitable business line that now stands as a competitive advantage for Atlas. Her work in managed care contracting has also greatly benefited our health system partners.
In her nearly three years at Atlas, Heather has served on our Executive Leadership team and earned a reputation as a trusted and effective leader. Her strategic insights and exceptional performance have consistently exceeded expectations, making her a valuable advisor and key player in our organization.
Before joining Atlas, Heather held several high-profile positions, including SVP of Value-Based Care Initiatives for a physician MSO company and VP-RCM Operations for USPI. She also served as COO and CFO for a healthcare MSO company. Heather holds an MBA and a BS in Accounting, further showcasing her strong educational background and financial acumen.
